home > resources for learning > educational resourcesEducational resourcesIn many ways, these can all be defined as ‘outreach’ and include printed media as well as websites with opportunities for interactivity and e-learning. We have intimate knowledge of formal education systems and curricula, as well as museum learning theory. Recent initiatives have taken ‘learning’ beyond the needs of formal education and into new fields such as early years, family, youth, lifelong and U3A. Meanwhile the barriers between traditional and new educational media are being broken down, especially with the growth of the use of interactive whiteboards, which allow new media to be used in formal teaching settings. We work on the principle that we will consult teachers and users as part of the process of developing any resources.
